Workforce Development

As an incentive to encourage students to enroll in one of nine high-demand industry areas, the Minnesota State Legislature has provided Ridgewater College and other Minnesota State institutions with significant annual funding since 2017 to provide scholarship awards of $2500 each to eligible students. The nine high-demand areas include advanced manufacturing, agriculture, early childhood education, healthcare, information technology, transportation, construction, public safety, and education. Students must be Minnesota residents enrolled in at least 9 credits per semester with a 2.0 GPA to be considered.
